Navigating adolescent CFS

This morning I woke our girl up at 7:15 as requested, then crawled back into bed while she got up to have first shower.

A moment later she appeared in our room and said, ‘I just wanted to say that you have no idea how happy I am after having such a s$#%t year, last year.’ ( Yes, she is practically a teenager and we have been a little lax about the swearing aspect…)

Such is the joy of a child who can participate in just the ordinary things of life after having experienced what it’s like not to be able to.

Hearing her say this, and knowing it was how she really felt, meant more to me than winning a million dollars.

I hope your day is enriched by happiness.

Thanks Sarah. Indeed it so is! I’m a little behind on this blog as hadn’t realised the comment notifications weren’t getting through to my regular email. Aaah the joys of moving hosts! Hugs xxx
